How to get to the Conference at Neue Universität, University of Heidelberg

By car
Coming from the motorway A5, change to A656 direction Heidelberg at motorway junction Heidelberg; Coming from the motorway A6, change to A656 at motorway junction Mannheim.

Leave the motorway on the right to the main station (Hauptbahnhof), pass main station heading towards Heidelberg Castle (Schloss). Keep on in the direction castle via Kurfürstenanlage, pass Römerkreis and Adenauerplatz, straight on to Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage. Go straight on into the first tunnel (Gaisbergtunnel). After the tunnel cars can be parked in one of the city’s multi-storey car parks on the left, e.g. P9 (ten minutes walk from the venue), or P11 close to the venue.

Coming from the direction of Neckargemünd turn left at Karlstor into the Schloßbergtunnel and follow the direction city centre/castle (Zentrum/Schloss). At the end of the tunnel turn right into Grabengasse, where cars can be parked in the University multi-storey car park P11 close to the venue, or continue straight onto multi-storey car park P9 (ten minutes walk from the venue)

We would advise you to avoid coming by car. Parking space in the centre of Heidelberg is always scarce and expensive.

By train
Heidelberg main station can be reached by the Deutsche Bahn.

Public transport at the main station
Bus line 32 to Uniplatz, or bus line 34 to Bismarckplatz and change to bus line 31 to Uniplatz. Alternatively buses BRN 735 and BRN 755 to the Congress Centre (Stadthalle) followed by a six-minute-walk to the Neue Universität at Uniplatz.
